GenesisTWH, KY: We attended the May 2011 Emminence Trail Ride with friends and had a great time discovering new challenges for our horses such as carnival rides and canoes. You never know what you may see so it is always interesting when you think you've seen it all and find out you haven't even considered some environments. This ride we travelled the ball park, the golf course, crossed rivers, passed carnival rides in full action, and watched canoes drift by and it was all great. Our horses were alert and in great form as the weather was amazing in spite of the tornadoes that ripped through Missouri the week prior to our trip.
This ride was Memorial Day Weekend so a short 4 day trip for us and a 5 hour road trip to get there but with friends along for the ride it was great. The Cross Country Trail Ride in Emminence Missouri is known for their hospitality, great trails, beautiful rivers, and their all inclusive trail riding environment providing your meals and entertainment each night for one rate. If you haven't attended before consider doing so for either a short weekend camping trip like ours or for the full week rides they have scheduled multiple times a year. It's off the beaten path but worth the drive. If it is too hot to ride, bring your bathing suits and drift down the river to cool down.
