Thank You 2005 GenesisTWH Farm Clients, Slaughters KY: Every story has a beginning and these wonderful clients were ours at GenesisTWH Farm. I first determined that my knees would not hold up and wanted to do more trail riding so we decided to our Walking Horse Breeding Mares and Foals and my pleasure mounts which almost broke my heart as I loved the foals and GI Jane was amazing.
Jane and Misty sold Week One that they were for sale with Jane going to Texas and Misty going to Arizona before I could change my mind. Both went to wonderful homes and I made it my policy as I listed them that I would always do two things. ONE...Offer a Money Back Guarantee that our Tennessee Walking Horses were sound and as described. TWO...that our horses were fully described wit the good and the bad traits including the reasons why I was selling them.
Jane was more difficult for me as I had been riding her since she turned 2 years old and she was amazing, however, at a full out running walk I had to stand in the stirrups a bit and I could no longer do that with my knees and the pain level I was having. She would park out to mount or dismount and ride anywhere I pointed her easily and intelligently. I had tried to breed her and she had 2 foals one that died at birthing and the second I had to put down within the first week so I could not breed her and I didn't want her to be left in the field. She deserved better than that and got it with Deidre who loves her and sent me loads of photos.
Misty I had raised from a yearling as I wanted a palomino and at 2 years old she absolutely was sweet and beautiful but had no walk outside a regular slow flatwalk which was her favorite gait. When someone tells you a young horse has no sense and has to be trained simply point hem to this article as Misty would go anywhere, simply would walk gently and slowly. She was the epitome of a slow easy and old horse at 2 years old and her owner LOVES her for those exact reasons. When talking about the traits she had I emphasized two things on this mare with one being her lack of talent walking at any other speed or desire to walk any faster and two that her sire was not a world champion Tennessee Walking Horse which is what we are known for at GenesisTWH now. Sandy told me that was perfect as she was looking for an easy partner who she could enjoy and was legally blind so didn't particularly want to go any faster. She also sent me my second set of Genesis Owners the Cravens who bought Dollar and City Lights and lived neaby in Arizona "before" she received Misty. City Lights is pictured above with Charles on the far right and has a unique personality and a smooth as glass gait serving in the Arizona Volunteer Mounted Ranger program for them. Dollar was so popular with the young child next door that they ended up selling her to him and coming back to the farm for another mare. Below you will see the horses and owners who purchased Tennessee Walking Horses from GenesisTWH Farm in Slaughters Kentucky from many different states and each one is precious to us.
